Sessional Instructional Assistant - HIS344H1-S The Global Cold War - Emergency Posting HIS344H1-S, L0101 The Global Cold War This course examines the Cold War through its global dimensions, going beyond the American-Soviet bipolar rivalry to explore the impact of the Cold War in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Students will work closely with original primary sources and interrogate historical interpretations of the Cold War through different regional and thematic perspectives. Dates of Appointment: January 1, 2026 April 30, 2026 Qualifications: Minimum M.A. in History required: good knowledge of subject matter. Previous experience or training with Quercus is an asset. Duties: Attend lectures; grading assignments and exams; consulting with supervisor/students; invigilating final exams; other duties as needed in consultation with instructor. Estimated course enrolment: 140 Estimated hours per position: Approximately 188 hours Lecture: Thursday 1-3pm Rate of Pay: $54.27 per hour plus 4% vacation pay Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
