Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilledMetallurgical Laboratory Technicianto join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting various metallurgical tests and related preparatory work. This role is critical in supporting our research and development efforts and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our metallurgical processes. The Metallurgical Laboratory Technician will report to the Manager, Metallurgical Laboratory. Key Responsibilities Conduct and oversee bottle roll tests, simulated column tests, shake flask extraction tests, and other metallurgical experiments. Receive, inventory, and prepare samples for testing, including rock crushing and homogenization, ensuring accuracy and consistency in sample handling and processing. Set up and calibrate laboratory apparatus for various tests, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Accurately record and analyze test data, maintaining detailed and organized records of all laboratory activities. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment. Work closely with the research and development team to support ongoing projects and provide technical assistance as needed. Prepare detailed reports on test results and findings, communicating effectively with team members and management. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing Engineering, or a related field; relevant technical certifications are a plus. Experience in ametallurgical laboratory setting. Proficiency in conducting metallurgical tests such asbottle roll, simulated column, and shake flask extraction tests. Experience withrock crushing, homogenization, and laboratory apparatus setups. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities. Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
