We pride ourselves on promoting talent when we see it, and work with each professional to define what success means for them.Your roleFilling an important role in the completion of assurance engagements for a variety of clients directly performing assurance procedures using established processes.Preparing corporate and personal tax returnsReviewing general ledger accounts, proposing, and adjusting journal entriesPerforming account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accountsProvide assistance and support to clients on accounting and bookkeeping issuesProactively follow up with clients and build positive working relationshipsEffectively respond to requests or queries, and keep the team apprised of any potential issuesWorking on special projects as requiredWhat you bring to the tableCollege or university education in accounting or equivalent prior experienceCurrently pursuing, or interested in pursuing CPA designationMinimum 2 years experience working in public practice accounting, experience with small business is strongly preferredProficiency with MS Office, CaseWare and using tax preparation softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsProfessional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a teamSound understanding of accounting practices and principlesExcellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients business and maintain strong client relationshipsWhere youll work:The Pas, MBJob type:Permanent, Full-timeMonday to FridaySalary range:We offer a competitive salary and benefits package based on experience and qualifications and the opportunity to excel in a dynamic public accounting environment.When you join Baker Tilly, you become part of something biggeran ambitious, forward-thinking company that puts people first.
