Join our high-impact team at the forefront of innovation as an Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) Application Trainer for our Smart Mining department. This role supports autonomous haul truck business activities by delivering specialized technical training, troubleshooting, and equipment application expertise. Acting as a key technical resource, you will train SMS Equipment employees and customers on the safe and efficient use of the Frontrunner system while supporting best practices in autonomous mining environments. Work Location: Based out of our Corporate Office in Acheson, AB Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 annually. Work Arrangement: Fixed on site, supporting customers on-location. Travel is required. Schedule: 7x7 or 14x14 rotation. What You''ll Do As the AHS Application Trainer, you''ll provide advanced training, technical expertise, and guidance on safe and efficient operation of equipment in an autonomous mining environment. You will: Deliver training and software consulting services on the FrontRunner application. Maintain operational knowledge of FrontRunner and DISPATCH systems. Support safe operational procedures for haul trucks and other mining equipment. Work closely with OEMs to address issues, implement improvements, and deliver certified training. Ensure operators are trained in safe practices and system usage. Travel regularly to customer sites to deliver hands-on support and training. What You Bring Journeyperson certification with related trade experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of experience operating equipment in a mining or construction environment, with strong knowledge of Komatsu Ultra Class haul trucks and support equipment. Bilingual in English and French is a definite asset, with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams and training settings. Familiarity with AHS, GPS-based technology, and FrontRunner/DISPATCH systems (asset). Meets OEM certification criteria: no safety-critical events in the past 2 years and a strong record of customer satisfaction. Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and experience in developing or delivering technical training (assets).
