Job description: Job Summary: As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting furniture and appliances to customers in a safe and timely manner. You will ensure that deliveries are completed accurately by adhering to scheduled routes and timeframes, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires a reliable and professional individual who is committed to providing exceptional service while operating vehicles in compliance with all safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Delivery Duties: Safely load, transport, and deliver furniture and appliances to customers according to assigned routes and schedules. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that items are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assist in unloading products at customer locations and ensure the items are placed in the correct rooms or locations as requested. Conduct pre-trip inspections of delivery vehicles and report any safety issues or maintenance needs to management. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for deliveries, including customer signatures, delivery confirmations, and returns when applicable. Safety and Compliance: Follow all transportation laws and maintain a clean and safe driving record. Abide by company safety protocols and policies to ensure the safety of yourself, your passengers, and the public. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure that all items are properly packed and ready for delivery. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Class 5 Driver''s License (not GDL) and a clean driving record. Minimum of 1 year of experience in furniture delivery, home moving, or a related field. Experience operating a 1-ton truck is preferred. Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods of time. Strong time management skills and ability to follow a structured delivery route. Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Ability to handle basic paperwork and delivery documentation.
