For more information about St. Mary''s and our Strategic Plan, visit and ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to the Team Lead Recruitment, the Recruitment and Community Engagement Officer will promote St. Mary''s University to prospective students, cultivate relationships with external partners, and work to meet enrolment targets for the University. This role promotes academic programs and student life opportunities through high school visits, community partnerships, and events on and off campus. Looking for a charismatic and friendly recruitment officer that can excite people about St. Mary''s offerings. Main responsibilities for this position will include: Territory development Take a lead role in building relationships with counsellors and career practitioners and managing a territory to implement recruitment initiatives to meet enrolment targets set by the institution. Facilitate presentations, school visits, and other innovative recruitment events both on and off campus to promote St. Mary''s University. Attending to prospective students Respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in-person appointments or events. Plan and execute student-for-a-day visits, campus tours, and large events like Open House and New Student Orientation. Build relationships on campus to strengthen your ability to promote the institution to prospective students. Data tracking Maintain records of all recruitment events, both internal and external, for the full recruitment cycle and track important information such as attendance, engagement, materials distributed, and other important notes. Review data to identify areas we can improve. Keep up-to-date with trends and competition in the marketplace. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a Bachelors degree. Verification of credential will be required. Police information check may be required Strong communication, people skills and charisma Excellent time management skills with the ability to act on decisions quickly and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and tactfully with staff, students, and members of the public. Ability to work alone or as a team and collaborate on events. Some heavy lifting may be required (25kg). Valid driver''s license with a clean driver''s abstract and access to a vehicle is necessary. Please note: Extensive travel including evening and weekend work during peak recruitment season (September December) will be required with varying work hours throughout the year.
