Cyclone is a privately owned company with over 750 highly skilled employees housed within six state-of-the-art facilities totaling 450,000 square feet in both Canada and Poland Job Overview : The Wastewater Treatment Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems supporting Cyclone Manufacturing''s chemical processing operations. This role oversees continuous treatment of liquid chemical waste using Continuous Precipitation Systems (CPS) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration systems to ensure compliance with municipal bylaws and environmental regulations. The technician performs routine equipment monitoring, calibration, cleaning, chemical adjustments, and system maintenance while coordinating repairs as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining chemical inventories, managing chemical receiving and documentation in coordination with the Processing Manager, and ensuring proper organization, cleanliness, and compliance within chemical holding and waste quarantine areas. The role also supports scrubber systems for processing lines 1 and 2 by monitoring and adjusting chemical levels to maintain safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities: Operate and maintain two (2) Continuous Precipitation Systems (CPS) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filtration systems supporting chemical processing lines Oversee the continuous treatment of liquid chemical waste from chemical processing operations Monitor, adjust, and maintain chemical levels for scrubber systems on Chemical Processing Lines 1 and 2 Perform regular monitoring of process equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs as required Conduct routine calibration, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on CPS and RO system instrumentation Perform chemical additions, solution removals, and system solution replacements as needed Conduct wastewater testing to ensure treated water meets municipal bylaws and regulatory requirements Maintain adequate inventory levels of wastewater treatment chemicals and RO system salt Work with the Processing Manager to receive, document, and transfer incoming chemicals Support Processing manager to organize, document and transfer waste from other sections within Cyclone''s Chemical Processing department Maintain proper organization, cleanliness, and compliance within chemical holding and waste quarantine areas Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and organized in accordance with company and regulatory standards Support lab personnel in supplementary tasks that include but are not limited to; chemical tank additions, specimen preparation and document organization Minimum Education: College Diploma in chemistry or related field. Other Requirements: Must be able to lift and move 50 lb containers. Must be able to wear all required PPE for all relevant responsibilities. Must be available for weekends when required.
