Job Description

Overview The Shopping Centre Interior Facilities Maintenance position is essential for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities. This candidate will be working under the property Operations Managers guidance and instructions for the day-to-day operations. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to keep buildings in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have a good mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Duties Be able to work on ladders. Be able to lift at least 50lbs. Change stained or broken ceiling tiles, cut where needed. Have a good understanding of public and commercial facility plumbing. Be able to do light building maintenance and take care of urgent maintenance issues. Replace burnt out lights throughout the common area as well as the office building. Replacing broken floor tiles. Minor plumbing repairs, like unplugging toilets, changing taps/faucets, replacing batteries in the flush valves, replace soap dispensers etc. Adjust thermostats for tenants. Check boiler daily. Check and maintain mechanical rooms. Repairs to doors, replacing hinges, door closure, lock repairs etc. Minor drywall repairs which would include repairing holes in the walls, minor painting etc. Maintaining and working with our third parties on the battery and electronic recycling program. Working with other departments like Marketing, Specialty leasing etc. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality customer service and satisfaction. Asist in all and any area needed as directed by mall management. Skills Proficiency in English for clear communication with staff and patrons and mall visitors. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance. Excellent customer service skills to address tenant or client concerns promptly. Strong logical reasoning skills for problem-solving in various maintenance scenarios. Self starter attitude is a must. Valid Alberta Drivers Licence. This position is Monday Friday from 8 am 4 pm all tools and supplies are provided by the property, this is an opportunity for individuals who are dedicated, skilled, and looking to contribute positively to our facility''s operations.
