Position Summary Future Focus Counselling Center is seeking an experienced trauma therapist to join our in-person Kamloops team. This position is open to both full-time and part-time cliniciansthose looking to see up to 10 clients per week (part-time) or around 20 clients per week (full-time). The role is ideal for a therapist with advanced trauma training and a warm, grounded presence who values autonomy, ethical excellence, and a collaborative clinical community. This is an independent contractor position requiring availability for in-person sessions in Kamloops. What We''re Looking For Master''s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field Minimum 3 years (or 1,000 direct client hours) of post-graduate experience, with a strong trauma focus Experience treating complex PTSD, single-incident trauma, developmental and relational trauma, dissociation, and attachment injuries Registration in good standing as an RCC or CCC or RSW (only candidates with these designations will be considered) Advanced training in at least one trauma-specific modality (EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor, Brainspotting, TIST, OEI, Hypnosis, etc.) Ongoing commitment to clinical supervision and ethical practice Excellent boundaries, documentation, and professionalism A grounded, collaborative approach to therapy and teamwork Capacity to maintain a consistent caseload of 1020 clients weekly Professional liability insurance (general liability recommended) Proof of current registration, liability insurance, Vulnerable Population Background Check and City of Kamloops Business License What We Offer Access to fully furnished offices in our brand-new, fully accessible downtown Kamloops location A steady stream of client referrals in your area of specialization Full administrative support (billing, scheduling, JaneApp, encrypted email, etc.) Peer consultation and a supportive clinical community Professional marketing and SEO visibility to help sustain your caseload WorksafeBC coverage Paid group clinical supervision with a BCACC-approved supervisor Flexible schedule choose your own days (weekdays and/or weekends) Expected start date: January 15, 2026 How to Apply Please submit your CV and a short cover letter describing your clinical background, trauma specialization, and what draws you to join Future Focus Counselling Center.
