Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques and fitting skills. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a variety of tools and machinery to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal components, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble parts. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks. Rig and secure materials using cranes or forklifts as needed for assembly or installation processes. Conduct measurements with calipers and basic math calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances. Assist with ductwork, construction, or assembly projects by applying welding and fitting skills. Operate machining tools for precise fabrication of parts. Follow safety protocols related to welding, rigging, crane operation, and use of power tools. Maintain a clean work area and ensure all equipment is properly maintained. Experience Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) within manufacturing or construction environments. Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, blueprint reading, and assembly processes. Experience with rigging, crane operation, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and machining is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Knowledge of ductwork installation or related construction work is a plus. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Prior experience working in manufacturing settings involving schematics interpretation and assembly is preferred.
