Junior Geotechnical Engineer PrairieGEO Engineering Ltd. provides geotechnical, and materials engineering and testing services. Our mission is to provide quality, practical and innovative consulting services to our client and conducting our business with integrity. Our Calgary office is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to support a variety of projects ranging from residential, commercial, municipal infrastructure to heavy industrial development. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage a wide variety of geotechnical projects to meet our client''s needs as well as maintain high level of safety and quality standards; Coordinate and carry out field inspection of construction works and material testing of construction materials; Undertake analysis and design tasks, summarize, review and interpret laboratory data; Prepare and write proposals and technical reports; and, Manage project scope, schedule and budgets, Qualifications Post-graduate degree in a geo-engineering discipline such as Civil Geotechnical Engineering. Between 0-5 years of relevant experience; Comfortable driving mid to full-sized pickup trucks in urban, rural, and construction environments; Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including local and remote construction sites; Proficiency with spoken and written English language is required; and, Eligible for membership with APEGA. Desirable Skills Physically capable to work long hours shift; Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; and, Strong computer skills (i.e. spreadsheet and word-processing). Additional Information Criminal Record Check may be conducted; Drug and alcohol testing may be required prior to accessing client sites; 3 Year Driver''s Abstract and a Claims Experience Letter will be requested; Flexible schedule, with the ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required; and, This position would appeal to those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to work effectively in a team.
