At Packlife Dog Retreat, we''re not your average dog daycare. We provide structured daycare, pack walks, and balanced training to help dogs thrive, and that takes a whole lot more than belly rubs. We''re growing and looking for dedicated, hard-working team members who are passionate about learning more about dog behaviour, and leadership. This posting is for a position within the structured daycare which can be rewarding, but it''s also physically and mentally demanding. You''ll be out in the rain, snow, and heat. You''ll get dirty. You''ll clean (a lot). You''ll work with dogs who push boundaries. But if you''re serious about dogs and willing to learn, this job can be a truly meaningful step in your animal care journey. What We''re Looking For A calm, confident leader of all breeds and temperaments A professional communicator - client interaction is a big part of this role Someone physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs, walk long distances, and be on their feet for 610 hours per day A fast learner who takes direction and shows initiative Comfortable being outdoors in all weather A dependable team player who works well with others and contributes to a positive environment Reliable, punctual, and consistent in showing up for both the team and the dogs Experience in dog care is great, but a willingness to learn is even better Bonus points if you''re interested in dog behavior, training, and the psychology behind pack dynamics Key Responsibilities Leading and monitoring pack walks with multiple dogs Managing large groups of dogs (20+) safely and confidently Communicating clearly with clients about their dogs'' behavior, training progress, and daycare experience Cleaning, sanitizing, and keeping our facility in top condition Basic grooming (nail trims, brushing) Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines (this is a big part of the job) Providing one-on-one attention and care to dogs in our program Perks and Pay Weekends off Two weeks vacation (with increases over time) Two-week Christmas/New Year break (unpaid) Stat holidays off Sick pay Retail discounts Guaranteed raise when promoted to Pack Leader Annual reviews + raise Opportunities for promotion in training, social media, and customer service Final Thoughts We''re a small, passionate team who care deeply about what we do.
