Duties and Responsibilities Manage, plan, organize, direct, the running of day-to-day operations of the Cultivation team, including Irrigation, and IPM in accordance with the direction of the Master Grower. Provide direction to Operations Supervisors and Leads by developing effective leadership skills, mentoring, and monitoring progress. Ensure that the Cultivation team is maintaining GPP, following MJardins internal SOPs and maintaining GDP. Appraise employees of their performance, productivity, and efficiency with constructive feedback to improve. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Follow up on key performance reviews for the cultivation staff. Engage with Human Resources to ensure consistent employee discipline administration. Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to maintain, plan and monitor inventory. Understand mechanical and irrigation control systems and equipment. Other duties as required. Job Requirements Previous experience as a Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager of a Licensed Producer of Cannabis. Strong understanding of the Cannabis Act and other applicable industry regulations and best practices. Relevant post-secondary education is preferred. Ability to balance multiple priorities and execute against a diverse set of objectives. Don and doff full-body PPE; wearing full-body PPE at all times while working. Working in close proximity to cannabis plants, as well being in direct contact with cannabis plants, which can trigger allergic reactions. Working in an environment with a strong cannabis odour. Handling/working with chemicals and cleaning supplies. Working / Environmental Conditions Management reserves the right to assign other job duties as necessary.
