Position: Fulltime, PermanentLocation: Brampton, Ontario Compensation: Competitive flat hourly rate ranging from $36.25 to $37.50 per hour under our skilledtrades flatrate (piece work) compensation plan. Include a lucrative production bonus, tool and boot allowance, and a $5,000 signing bonus paid out after three and six months of employment. (Note: Level 3 or higher 310S Apprentices are eligible for the position but are not eligible for the Technician signing bonus.) What Youll Deliver Project a positive attitude for the benefit of customers and junior employees. Retrieve repair orders from dispatch on a timely basis. Obtain parts from the Parts Department as required. Use repair order punch clock appropriately (punch on specific line when starting a task, punch off when task is complete). Address all customer concerns using the Three Cs method Complaint, Cause, Correction. Examine all vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Prepare a complete report on the back of the repair order. Estimate flatrate times for each recommendation using supplied manuals and employer policies. Obtain parts prices and note availability for each recommendation. Perform all work as outlined on the front of the repair order and as authorized on the back, with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with company and factory standards. Order all parts when authorization is received, unless specifically told otherwise; indicate on the RO that you have done so. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or insurance, or if requested by the customer. Roadtest vehicles after any service that might affect drivability (excluding straight oil changes or transmission fluid changes). Ensure all work performed is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely fashion. Work effectively without supervision. Supervise work of all apprentice technicians or students; report immediately any deficiencies to the Service Manager. Attend factorysponsored and dealerspecified training courses as scheduled. Keep abreast of all factory technical bulletins. Learn and understand all current and emerging automotive service technologies. Maintain a high degree of concentration to prevent comebacks. Ensure customer cars are kept as clean or cleaner than upon arrival, both inside and out. Keep the shop area neat and clean at all times. Other duties as required by management. What You Need To Succeed Grade 12 diploma or GED. Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S or higher). Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations preferred. Teamoriented with a positive attitude. Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment. Reliable and able to work productively with minimal supervision. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Valid Class G Ontario drivers license and clean driver abstract. Personable, reliable, courteous.
