Position Summary The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership for CMU College of Makeup Art and Design. Reporting to the Board / Ownership, the CEO is responsible for institutional performance, regulatory compliance, enrollment growth, financial sustainability, and brand development. This role requires a strong balance of strategic vision, operational discipline, regulatory awareness, and people leadership, ideally within the private post-secondary or education sector. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the institution''s short- and long-term strategic plans Lead institutional growth, program development, and market positioning Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams Academic & Regulatory Oversight Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies (e.g., private career college regulations, OSAP eligibility, ministry requirements) Oversee academic quality, program approvals, and student outcomes Maintain strong relationships with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders Enrollment, Marketing & Brand Provide leadership oversight to admissions, marketing, and enrollment teams Drive sustainable student recruitment strategies (domestic and international, as applicable) Strengthen CMU''s brand, reputation, and industry recognition Financial & Operational Management Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost controls Ensure the institution''s financial stability and responsible resource allocation Monitor key performance indicators (enrollment, retention, revenue, expenses) People & Culture Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and department heads Foster a collaborative, accountable, and student-focused culture Ensure compliance with employment standards and HR best practices Governance & Stakeholder Relations Report regularly to the Board / Ownership on institutional performance Support governance processes, board meetings, and strategic decision-making Represent CMU externally with industry partners, vendors, and community stakeholders Qualifications & Experience Bachelor''s degree required; Master''s degree preferred (Education, Business, or related field) 10+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably in post-secondary education, private career colleges, or a regulated environment Strong understanding of Ontario private career college operations, compliance, and funding structures (OSAP knowledge is a strong asset) Proven experience in enrollment management, financial oversight, and organizational leadership Demonstrated ability to lead through change and complex operational challenges Key Competencies Strategic thinking and execution Financial acumen and business judgment Strong leadership and decision-making skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management High integrity, accountability, and professionalism Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $86,813.82-$145,683.60 per year Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Work Location: In person
