Job Title

Candidate will work on daily driving tasks for various customers, work collaboratively with the other staff to ensure timing pickup and delivery within GTA area. Greet and receive customer, clients, vendors in a professional manners. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from facilities or customer locations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Log into travel form for each stage of the loading and unloading process. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Collect signed delivery slip and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations. Must have valid forklift license . Hours 7:30 am -4:00pm mon -fri Overtime avaialble Requirements Proven work experience as a DZ truck driver. Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc). Ability to pick up and make emergency deliveries if required and travel regularly on local highways. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc). Willing to submit to background checks and provide employment recommendations. Trucking school diploma. Valid truck & vehicle driving license. Able to perform duty as assigned.
