Overview General Contractor specializing in mid to large size industrial, commercial and institutional projects. Head Office is based in Etobicoke with projects located throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Shop Foreman and Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials, supplies and equipment to and from our sites safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The role also entails maintaining the shop area in a clean and organized manner, storage, handling and tracking of materials, supplies and equipment as well as general vehicle maintenance and basic automotive repairs. Snow plowing of various company properties during winter months will also be required (previous experience preferred). This role requires a high level of organization, strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment including a flatbed/rolloff truck and trailer. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Snow plowing of various company properties (previous experience preferred). Maintain the shop area in a clean and organized manner. Storage, handling and tracking of materials, supplies and equipment. Assist with general vehicle maintenance and basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate heavy equipment or forklifts when required for loading/unloading tasks. Communicate effectively with other team members. Qualifications Valid A Driver''s Licence with Z endorsement. Secondary School diploma. Minimum 5 years experience. Mechanically inclined and knowledge of automotive repairs is required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks. A drivers'' abstract will be required to verify a driving record in good standing.
