Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook specializing in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing authentic Asian dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. The Cook will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests through exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist in menu planning and development to ensure authentic flavors and presentation Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared for service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances throughout shifts Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs when required Skills Proven experience in Asian cuisine cooking, with a strong understanding of traditional techniques and ingredients Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation and cooking methods Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred Ability to plan menus that highlight authentic flavors while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment under pressure Prior experience with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus Familiarity with catering operations and serving is advantageous This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about Asian cuisine to showcase their skills while contributing to a dynamic dining environment.
