Role Purpose The Site Supervisor is accountable for the day-to-day execution of construction activities on site. This includes safety, quality, schedule adherence, coordination of trades, and maintaining GTA''s standards of professionalism and performance. The Site Supervisor works in close coordination with the Project Manager and is responsible for ensuring that site operations align with approved drawings, schedules, budgets, and company SOPs. Who You Are You are someone who: Leads through presence, clarity, and consistency, not ego Takes full ownership of site outcomes excuses are not part of your vocabulary Understands that planning, preparation, and communication prevent problems Treats each project as if it were your own investment Holds trades accountable while maintaining respect and professionalism Values quality, safety, and schedule equally not one at the expense of the others Is calm under pressure and decisive when issues arise Understands that documentation, reporting, and communication are part of the job not optional admin work Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Execution Oversee all day-to-day site operations from mobilization through closeout Ensure work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, schedules, and GTA standards Enforce site cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times Maintain control of sequencing, access, deliveries, and logistics Trade Coordination & Supervision Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site personnel Conduct daily site meetings and toolbox talks Hold trades accountable to scope, schedule, and quality requirements Identify underperformance early and escalate issues appropriately Schedule & Risk Management Actively manage the construction schedule and short-interval planning Identify risks, constraints, and conflicts before they impact progress Propose solutions and workarounds in collaboration with the Project Manager Prevent rework through proactive planning and verification Safety & Compliance Enforce all health and safety regulations and company safety policies Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and applicable regulations Maintain safety documentation, inspections, and incident reporting Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate daily site logs, photos, safety reports, and progress updates Communicate clearly and professionally with the Project Manager and internal teams Serve as GTA''s on-site representative with clients, consultants, and landlords Ensure site information is documented, not assumed Quality & Client Experience Uphold GTA''s reputation for quality workmanship and professionalism Ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly and correctly Support inspections, consultant reviews, and client walkthroughs Drive a culture of pride in workmanship and attention to detail Performance Expectations Success in this role is measured by: On-time milestone delivery Quality of workmanship and reduced rework Safety performance and compliance Clean, organized, and professional job sites Effective communication and documentation Alignment with GTA''s performance management and project lifecycle standards Requirements Proven experience supervising commercial construction projects independently Experience in Civil, Interior Fit-Outs, Base Building, and MEP systems Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, safety regulations, and construction methods Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and specifications Strong leadership and communication skills Comfortable using construction technology (Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Teams, etc.) Valid driver''s license and access to a vehicle * Preferred Experience (Asset) Design-Build project experience Premium retail, hospitality, or high-end interior projects Experience working in occupied buildings or landlord-regulated environments COR Health & Safety Experience Employment Details Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Compensation: Competitive salary with performance-based bonus opportunities Benefits Bonus pay Casual dress Company events Dental care Extended health care Vision care Paid time off Expense Reimbursement Final Note This role is for professionals who want to be part of a company that values structure, clarity, and accountability.
