Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor clients'' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Help with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when required. Support individuals with disabilities in their daily routines and activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required by the facility or agency. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or patient care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care settings is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility challenges. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
