About Lac Ste. Anne Mtis Community Association Lac Ste. Anne Mtis Community Association (''LSAMCA'') represents the independent, self-governing Lac Ste. Anne Mtis community whose traditional territory encompasses west central and northwest Alberta, inclusive of the east slopes of the Rocky Mountains. With a strong sense of self-determination and cultural identity, and the recognition of our rights by the Province of Alberta, LSAMCA is focused on honouring the independent spirit of our ancestors while ensuring the wellbeing of future generations. LSAMCA provides direct supports to its members through investments in education, training, housing, and other social programs and services, funded in part through our involvement in sustainable economic development activities. We actively protect and advance our community''s section 35 rights and interests, including through participation in consultation and regulatory engagement processes and community-led stewardship initiatives. Position Overview Under the direction of the Administrator, the Administrative Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the purposes of the Lac Ste. Anne Mtis Community Association (''LSAMCA''). The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for carrying out various duties associated with our Administration Department. Key Responsibilities Assisting the Administration Department with various responsibilities, including filing, organizing and archiving information as per the current records management systems. Scanning and uploading documents. Ensuring protection of the privacy of information and databases. Performing data entry with a high level of accuracy. Supporting mass mailouts to the LSAMCA membership . - Ensuring storage areas are well organized and maintained. - Managing office supplies inventory and office equipment maintenance. - Supporting the monitoring, responding, and tracking of inquiries to the Administration Department. - Assisting in background/research work, as needed, related to the Administration Department. - Facilitating the booking and preparing of venues for meetings or other activities. - Performing a wide range of general administration functions. - Successful candidates may be considered for involvement with other LSAMCA activities that may fall outside the scope of this position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset. Proven experience in a similar role. Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communications skill. Ability to plan, prioritize and complete numerous concurrent tasks effectively. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Willingness to work within a team environment and at other times work independently. Demonstrated resiliency in dealing with changing schedules, timelines, and priorities. Qualifications Post-secondary education from a recognized institution with a focus on business administration or another related discipline . - A minimum of two years'' experience in a similar role. - Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams . Additional Requirements Valid Alberta driver''s license and access to a reliable vehicle (for occasional errands). On occasion, work activities may occur outside of a standard workday schedule. On occasion, travel outside of the office may be required for errands or events (mileage to be reimbursed at federal rates). Working Conditions Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am 4:30 pm. A supportive learning environment with potential opportunities for advancement. Salary, Benefits and Rewards $40,000 $50,000, dependant on skills and experience. Eleven (11) paid statutory holidays per year. Three weeks'' paid vacation including one week at Christmas coinciding with our office closure.
