Overview We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. This role involves maintaining and repairing cleaning equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance skills, with experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and various diagnostic tools. A background in industrial electrician work, hydraulics, HVAC/R, welding, and field service is highly desirable. Candidates with military experience or expertise in high voltage systems will find this position particularly suitable. Fluency in English and excellent customer service skills are essential for effective communication across teams. Duties Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on cleaning equipment using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Maintain and calibrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage components. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, track equipment history, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks. Repair hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and other mechanical components utilizing schematics and technical manuals. Conduct welding operations specific to welding standards when necessary for equipment repairs or modifications. Operate scissor lifts and other industrial machinery safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during maintenance procedures. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications. Provide technical support during startup, commissioning, and field service activities for cleaning systems. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime through proactive maintenance planning and quick response to equipment issues. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and analysis purposes. Requirements Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment or similar setting. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with industrial electrician work, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding ( welding preferred), and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, analysis skills for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical faults. Ability to work with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters; knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems is essential. Experience operating scissor lifts or similar equipment safely within an industrial context. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external vendors during field service operations. Military background or experience in industrial electrician roles is advantageous. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and system diagrams effectively.
