New Westminster Surgical Centre, a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for a Medical Receptionist Job Summary: This role is responsible for supporting the administrative operations of the facility, including patient admissions, surgical bookings, billing, office management, and physician credentialing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Position Type :Permanent Full Time Join our amazing Team Benefits working with Clearpoint We offer competitive wages $ 20/hr- $24/hr Health and dental benefits for permanent employees RRSP Matching for permanent employees Vacation Leave and Personal Leave RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet all patients and admit them to facility Coordinate and manage physician credentialing processes, ensuring all licenses, certifications, and required documentation are up to date. Answer all incoming telephone calls and deal with them appropriately Organize patient charts and sort previous days'' charts, enter them into the computer and appropriate accounting journal Responsible for surgical bookings Deal with issues related to bookings, supplies and staffing under direction of Nurse Manager Record billings for surgical procedures per facility policy, contracts and established protocol Sort and distribute mail Receive supplies from delivery companies Organize courier services as needed Banking functions Responsible for office administration, accounts receivable and accounts payable Maintain a clean and organized work environment REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program or a relevant industry program with certification is an asset. Minimum 2 years'' experience required, with previous experience in a medical office environment within the last five years Proficient in Microsoft Office with accurate data entry / keyboarding skills Ability to prioritize workload to meet established workload timelines with frequent interruptions Must be able to work independently and multi-task Strong communication and organizational skills Familiarity with medical terminology Ability to adhere to strict regional policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality Experience using Input Health EMR or OR booking systems preferred Clearpoint Health Network Inc is committed to nurturing a diverse workforce representative of the communities within which we operate.
