We have over 500 employees and work with over 400 individuals throughout the Lower Mainland.About the OpportunityWe are actively seeking an innovative, energetic and creative Manager of Supported Living. Reporting to a Director of Programs, the Manager of Supported Living will work closely with the supported individuals and teams to provide an environment of support that is focused on helping individuals live as independently as possible. The Manager of Supported Living is responsible for the day-to-day management of the City Club suite of apartments and relief pool. This role is primarily administrative; direct supports may be required from time to time.The Manager of Supported Living provides direct coaching and support to employees and is accountable for inspiring the use of Person Centered Active Supports (PCAS) with the goal of supporting all individuals to live as full contributing citizens in their communities. This position is accountable to actively work with the Administration team including other Directors, as assigned.General Duties:Oversight of multiple locations, ensuring effective and smooth operation of the location, including emergency preparednessEngaging and supporting individuals to live as full citizensCoaching, mentoring and performance management of a Team Lead and a team of Community Living CounsellorsSelecting, onboarding, training and the development of these CounsellorsGeneral administration including scheduling, timecard approvals, budgeting, and financial accountabilities for all the locations and individuals within the designated locationsGeneral administration and reporting related to the support of the individuals.Maintaining strong and supportive relationships with all the supported individual networks, members of the public, family members and team members.About YouYour experience in providing positive, consistent and empowering support to adults with developmental disabilities coupled with your inspirational leadership style will enable you to flourish in this role. You are known for supporting individuals in achieving their chosen goals and experiencing success in their lives by providing skills and opportunities to develop and build their social / friend network, participate in their community, take part in local activities, obtain volunteer or paid employment and learn skills associated with daily living. As an organized and resourceful professional, you are capable to creative problem solving in an efficient manner.Through a welcoming and enabling approach, you are capable of developing a flourishing, supportive, open work environment for all staff, individuals and networks. You will be an exemplary role-model of Person Centered Active Supports to employees, families and the wider community, through all your interactions with the individuals you support, using new approaches and techniques.
