Registered Nurse, Union - Regular Casual - AgeCare McKenzie Towne Join AgeCare as a Registered Nurse (RN) in McKenzie Towne. The role is a union, regular casual position reporting to the Director of Care. Relocation Bonus Up to $10,000AgeCare offers a relocation bonus of up to $10,000 to support licensed professional nurses relocating to rural and select urban communities in British Columbia. The Opportunity The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct resident care, medication administration, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and resident health and wellness standards. What You Will Do Complete and keep residents care assessments, service plans, and documentation up to date, and communicate changes to DOC for billings. Assist with scheduling of residents care conferences and participate in conferences. Work closely with DOC to facilitate residents movein and transfers. Order, safekeep drugs and narcotics, and administer them in compliance with regulatory requirements. Facilitate and provide resident/family education. Supervise resident selfmedication assessment and audits. Supervise and delegate care and medication administration responsibilities to Unregulated Care Providers while complying with regulations and policies. Plan, coordinate, manage, and evaluate the residents care plan with the interdisciplinary team, physicians, and contracted service providers. Coordinate nursing teams resident care assignments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services. What You Bring Current registration as a Registered Nurse in applicable province/state. Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers. Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/longterm care is an asset. Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customerfocus skills. Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and ability to delegate to unregulated care providers. Maintenance of competencies per governing College standards. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS).
