Pharmacist 1 - Odette Cancer Centre Pharmacy - Regular Full-Time (2025-15824) Sunnybrook Summary of Duties We currently have a permanent fulltime position in the Odette Cancer Center Pharmacy. The pharmacists duties can be broadly divided into three areas: Direct patient care Drug distribution Educational responsibilities Responsibilities Responsibilities include physician order review, clarification, modification and verification in the oncology CPOE system (OPIS); drug dispensing and/or supervision of such tasks by pharmacy technicians; answering drugrelated questions; provision of pharmaceutical care; medication reconciliation; patient counseling; participation in the education of students and multidisciplinary staff. The position involves order review and patient contact in the retail pharmacy and chemotherapy unit, as well as supervision of students providing clinical services to patients in the chemotherapy unit. IV systemic therapy order review and verification will be a responsibility once independence in the retail setting is demonstrated. Other pharmacist duties include participation in hospital and departmental committees.
