Health, Safety and Wellness Field Coordinator ARROW Utilities, a Capital Region Commission, provides wastewater transmission and treatment services to nearly 400,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding Edmonton. We own and operate 200 km of transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a stateoftheart treatment plant in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, costeffective and environmentally responsible wastewater services. We are hiring a fulltime, permanent Health, Safety and Wellness (HSW) Field Coordinator to support our growing operations, including the expansion of our treatment facility and the implementation of membrane bioreactor technology. Key Responsibilities Promote a proactive HSW culture by maintaining onsite visibility, providing guidance, and supporting leadership with HSW initiatives and meetings. Conduct field inspections, audits, and observations to verify compliance with the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS), Alberta OHS legislation, and relevant standards. Maintain and evaluate Emergency Response Plans through drills, exercises, and reviews to ensure preparedness and continuous improvement. Support reporting, investigation, and tracking of incidents and hazards, ensuring timely resolution, communication of lessons learned, and followup on corrective actions. Collaborate with employees, contractors, and the Joint Health & Safety Committee to promote consistent HSW practices and assist with project reviews, tieins, and shutdowns. Provide crosscoverage within the Health, Safety & Wellness portfolio and assist in advancing organizationwide HSW programs and culture. Qualifications Occupational Health and Safety degree, diploma, or certificate; equivalent education and experience may be considered. CRSP or CRST designation considered an asset. 3+ years of experience in occupational health and safety, including field assessments or inspections within utilities, industrial, or similar sectors. Solid knowledge of the Alberta OHS Act, Regulations, and Code, and familiarity with industry best practices and standards. Strong communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, contractors, and leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Valid Alberta Class5 Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle. Additional Information This position involves approximately 70% fieldwork within the Alberta Capital region and 30% officebased responsibilities. We offer a compressed 70hour biweekly work week, with every other Friday as an earned day off (EDO). Salary range: $73,294.00 to $94,799.00 per annum.
