Part of the role will include assisting with the facilitation of early childhood development groups. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and awareness of cultural values and practices within the community Awareness of and demonstrated ability to relate to families facing multiple challenges relating to parenting Experience working with children from 0-3 years of age is an asset. Knowledge of child development and family dynamics (an Early Childhood Worker or Educational Assistant certificate is an asset). Minimum requirement is a high school diploma Basic computer skills are required Good written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a team environmentDemonstrated maturity and positive attitude Able to work flexible hours Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
