This hybrid role combines project management, field technician work, and small system design. Where Is The Work This position is onsite in Saskatoon or Regina. What You Will Do Accountable for assigned projects scope, schedule, and budget. Responsible for commissioning, diagnosing, and repairing environmentalcontrol systems using knowledge of electronics, digital control, airflow, and refrigeration theory. May design hardware and software for small building automation systems. Projects typically meet these criteria: Small or fasttrack controls projects. Strategic controls projects for the local office. Simple to medium complexity in nonhighly regulated industries. Manage multiple vendors and one subcontractor. May work under a Construction Project Manager level2 or3. Responsibilities Endtoend testing, programming, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects. Plan, analyze, and schedule projects, establish procedures, and accomplish system objectives. Prepare onsite installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, and coordinating onsite work. Meet with contractors and owners to discuss scope, budgets, performance, and closeout. Represent the company as direct customer contact. Examine and review contracts and estimates, perform risk analysis, and develop risk plans. Establish an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated scope. Maintain the project budget to forecasted values. Prepare subcontractor RFQs, including scope statements, plans, milestone dates, specifications, bonding requirements, and billing schedule of values. Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals, supervise work of project staff, subcontractors, and installers. Manage project cash flow: progress billing, collections support, and resource management. Manage change orders by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, and closing orders. Record parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources. Ensure quality standards are maintained for assigned projects. Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff. Maintain accurate status reports and project reviews. Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files. Provide training and followup training at customer sites. Obtain acceptance and timely signoff of the project by the customer. Ensure successful transition of warranty to the service process. Flexibility to work outside normal work hours and weekends, as required. Analyze, diagnose, and repair direct digital control systems at customer location. Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers. Identify parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. Some travel with occasional overnight stays. What You Will Bring HVAC Controls technical expertise. Valid drivers license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations. DuI in the previous 5 years and license suspension or reckless driving must be excluded in the previous 3 years.
