Senior Hazardous Materials Specialist Dillon Consulting Limited Join our multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated and superior customer experience on contaminant assessment & management projects. Responsibilities Train and mentor staff on Hazardous Materials Assessments. Establish and maintain standard protocols and reporting standards. Technical review and risk management for hazardous materials assessment and management projects. Manage and coordinate projects and technical studies for a variety of environmental assignments. Prepare and present reports and proposals. Direct and instruct project team members including natural scientists, engineers, planners, technologists and technical support staff. Enhance client relationships and develop new business opportunities with both public and private sector clients. Learning & Development Commit to selfdevelopment and ongoing learning to stay knowledgeable of industry best practices and advancements. Contribute to Dillons corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees. Mentor junior staff, providing technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Hazardous Materials Management, Environmental or related disciplines. Minimum 10 years demonstrable experience conducting all aspects of hazardous materials work, including largescale asbestos survey and abatement projects for industry and government clients. Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a commitment to technical excellence. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; able to read, comprehend and proofread written reports and correspondence. Experience Formal hazardous materials training. Excellent technical knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, guidelines, best practices and monitoring protocols related to hazardous materials.
