You will work mornings and afternoons Monday through Friday during the school year and will enjoy evenings, weekends, school and statutory holidays off. Think of all the time spent with family or travelling. Apply today! Duties and Responsibilities Pick up passengers at predetermined locations. Exhibit the highest ethical standards and personal integrity; share concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior with supervisor or manager. Report to work on time and operate route in a safe manner. Conduct pretrip inspections daily using company tools and swipe technology. Practice defensive driving at all times and proactively avoid accidents. Lift and close bus doors daily, and assist passengers boarding and exiting. Evacuate bus in emergency situations and physically assist passengers to evacuate. Refill fuel and washer fluid in assigned vehicle when necessary, before picking up passengers. Manage student behaviour by communicating and disciplining as per company policies; report discipline issues to school and company immediately. Report all accidents, incidents, and defects to office immediately. Complete all required paperwork, including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests, in a timely manner. Deliver vehicle to office for repairs, preventative maintenance inspections, and repairs. Contact parents of passengers if instructed by the company. Attend all company safety meetings. Adhere to company standards in the operation of company vehicles and customer service. Follow all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook, as well as local customer service center work directions and instructions. Perform other tasks as assigned by the company. Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must hold a valid provincial drivers license and possess a good driving history (no more than 3 demiret points and no speeding tickets over 24km/h). Must have at least 2 years of driving history in Canada. Must successfully complete the companyprovided training program required by the province. Ability to obtain the provincial drivers license required to operate a school bus. Must successfully complete a criminal background check and Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS). Must successfully complete a medical test as per the provinces requirements. A FirstAid Certificate may be required depending on the school board. Must be available to work a split shift (both morning and afternoon shifts) on a daily basis from Monday to Friday. Must possess tact and diplomacy in dealing with students, parents, and school district/board personnel. Must be committed, dependable and reliable.
