Responsibilities Consult with the surgeon regarding patient structures at risk and modalities to be monitored Communicate clearly and effectively to the patient about the IONM tests to be performed during the surgical procedure Accurately place all electrodes on the patient per the standard of care Diligently monitor waveforms from multiple modalities using Cadwells cascade software during surgery Keep the surgical team informed of patient status throughout the surgery Upload IONM surgical logs to Excel accurately and efficiently Maintain all IONM equipment and report any equipment issues promptly to the team lead Identify appropriate protocols and perform troubleshooting as needed to ensure accurate data collection Research and stay uptodate with current literature in IONM Be available to be on call for 24 hours a day (~78 days a month or 95 days a year) Qualifications / Skills Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring Graduate Certification or CNIM certification preferred Experience performing EEG, EMG or evoked potentials Minimum one year of intraoperative neuromonitoring experience in a large Canadian tertiary care centre preferred B.Sc. in Health Science, Biological Science (e.g., Kinesiology) M.Sc. in Health Science, Biological Science preferred Thorough understanding of anatomy and neurophysiology Proven communication and problemsolving skills Good interpersonal skills Current Standard First Aid, CPRC, and AED certifications Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Fulltime Job Function Health Care Provider Industries Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
