Job Description

BA Blacktop Ltd. is currently seeking a team-oriented, self-motivated, and dedicated individual to join our Operations department in the Greater Vancouver Area as a Project Coordinator.The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in design and construction-related activities to aid in successful job completion while meeting safety and quality standards.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESPreplan and schedule project activities on a daily to weekly basis as requiredImplement the project Quality Management System by acting as lead quality coordinatorCreate a safe site and working environment by promoting safe working methodsRecord meeting minutes for the foremens meeting, construction coordination, and property restorationComplete routine checklists during site walkthroughsEnsure all Checklists for all aspects of project are being used and followedAssist the construction manager in day-to-day activitiesAssist superintendents with field operations and job schedulingBe a site contact for the projectUpload safety stats and traffic summaries to BuzzsawUpdate/revise QMPDeal with home and property ownersDraw updates and distributionTrack Materials using quantity tracking sheetsComplete QA checks in the field of work commencing at that timeEnsure Hold Points/Check Points are being signed off by EngineersConduct and go through Audits as requiredPerform Orientations on new personnel for the projectEnsure Environmental measures are being met, by walking the project with the Designated Environmental teamCoordinate with other Quality Coordinators to ensure all aspects are being followed in the QMPTake Weekly Photos to document the progress of the projectConstantly refer to the DBA and other necessary specifications for the projectParticipate in project meetings to plan future activities and make sure the project's coordination requirements are metWrite NCRs/OFIs/RFIs as neededIntegrate with KheopsPerform Monthly Safety Audits for the projectEnsure that safety procedures in accordance with the companys OH&S manual, Workers Compensation Act, Employment Standard Act, and WorkSafeBC Regulations are being followedQUALIFICATIONSEssential QualificationsBroad understanding of road construction and related activitiesBroad understanding of the QMP and the testing requirements for roadwayExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills (eg. memos, reports, discussions)Proficiency in Microsoft SuiteOFA Level 1 or HigherFall Protection and RescueQA, QC training, proper tracking of QuantitiesDesirable QualificationsKnowledgeable of Specifications and requirements in roadway construction (DBSS, MMCD, etc.)Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a Related FieldPMP designationGold Seal CertificationADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON THE ROLEPay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per yearLocation: office in North Vancouver with projects across the Greater Vancouver Area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
