Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing proposals, and planning and delivery of corporate insolvency servicesTake proactive ownership of insolvency files from commencement to closing with assistance from Senior Managers or Partners, as required based on the size and complexity of the fileLead data analysis, review of accounting records and the development of financial modelsAdvise lenders, creditors or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, restructurings, bankruptcies, liquidations, etc.Develop relationships with special loan financiers, insolvency lawyers, business executives, etc.Prepare and review all statutory documentation associated with the BIA, CCAA, Wind-Up Acts, Business Corporation Acts, etc.Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to stakeholders; ensure stakeholders needs are met and relationships grow and developMaintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to businessesNetwork in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet stakeholders needsMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviewsContribute to strategic and operational planning related to stakeholder and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processesMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills And ExperienceBachelors degree in a related fieldSuccessfully completed or currently pursuing the Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) designationChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset5+ years of insolvency experience, specifically corporate insolvency experienceExtensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency ActStrong business and practice development skillsProven people management, relationships building and leadership skillsStrong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skillsMyRewards@MNPWith a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
