As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the OnCorridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion OnCorridor Works scope includes new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications, digital systems, maintenance, and much more. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the operations within the Alstom warehouse including inbound and outbound shipments and kitting activities. Responsibilities Ensure employees operate in an environment that complies with company Environmental Health, and Safety policies (EHS). Know and follow all safety, environmental and emergency procedures. Respect the safety conditions when handling goods, trolleys, etc. Actively participate in all aspects of safety. Notify the Supply Chain Manager of all safety, sitekeeping or maintenance issues found during inspections that require assistance. Ensure the storage of materials, guarantee the quantities stored and the correct storage conditions. Ensure material availability, integrity & delivery on time to the installation site / team / subcontractor. Manage the physical material flows of the area (reception, shipping) to keep physical and system flows aligned. Ensure the ERP (GSISAP) solution is implemented and correctly used by logistics operators. Work closely with the Warehouse Key User to manage stock in the ERP system according to the core model and train logistics operators. Monitor and challenge the performance of the area activity through Key Performance Indicators. Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement activities & APSYS roadmap on the area. Provide a longterm vision to the team, set yearly objectives and targets, support and coach in achieving these targets and objectives, perform performance appraisals, reward and recognize merits, set and follow up development plans and induction programs for newcomers. Manage logistics operators & aligned team members to the warehouse workload. Ensure logistics operators follow Alstom warehouse processes. Participate in warehouse layout and optimize storage space. Contribute to the implementation of different areas in the warehouse to optimize logistic activities (Kanban flow, sequence). Manage operations level area: material receipt, inbound transportation, stock entry, picking and kitting, packing, shipping, outbound transportation, inventory accuracy, scrap process. Respect any specific storage regulations (chemicals, battery). Ensure continual improvement of the warehouse organisation & processes. Qualifications A bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Industrial fields. 710 years of experience in a relevant role. A working understanding of the requirements from the Ontario Health and Safety Act pertaining to working at heights and confined space work. Proven track record of managing logistics programs including warehousing, logistics management, and transportation management. Fluent in English. Knowledge of typical logistics processes on a construction project.
