This is done in collaboration with the family physicians, other health care providers, community organizations and programs and the resident and their family. Qualifications Experience 3 years experience as an RN in primary care, public health or acute care Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Master of Nurse Practitioner is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP) Competencies Teaching skills Advanced - Analytical skills Advanced - Decision making skills Facilitation skills Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrates leadership, confidence and autonomy in the RN(NP) role Demonstrates capacity to plan, implement and evaluate multiple assessments Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates knowledge of multiple health promotion strategies Knowledge of community resources Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required Ability to make sound decisions on complex issues relating to...
