OverviewRegistered Midwife Location: Kelowna, BC; Clinic: Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic; Type: Full-time or Part-time | Perinatal Care | On-call RotationOpportunity DetailsThe Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic (COMC) is seeking a Registered Midwife to join our multidisciplinary team in Kelowna, BC. This full-scope role includes prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, with a focus on culturally safe services for Indigenous communities. Call coverage is shared with family physicians, ensuring 24/7 support.COMC is a hospital-based clinic staffed by Family Physicians, Registered Midwives, Nurses, Social Workers, and MOAs. The clinic is located on the Kelowna General Hospital campus, with access to NST, ultrasound, labour & delivery, and perinatal services.What Youll DoDeliver comprehensive maternity care up to 8 weeks postpartumParticipate in 24/7 intrapartum care at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH)Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, FPs, SWs, and MOAsContribute to a shared on-call rotation with other maternity providersWork closely with KGHs Level 4 NICU and 24/7 Obstetrics and Pediatrics supportQualificationsRegistered Midwife eligible for full licensure with the BC College of Nurses and MidwivesEligible for hospital privileges at Kelowna General HospitalMinimum 2 years of experience preferredPreference for those with extended scope in CS first assist and IOL privilegesStrong commitment to collaborative, patient-centered careScheduleClinic Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 16:00Call: 12 or 24-hour shiftsFlexible scheduling and multiple shift options availableLifestyle & CommunityKelowna offers an exceptional quality of life with year-round outdoor recreation, including hiking, skiing, paddleboarding, and cycling.
