About the Role As a CBRE Facilities Manager you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus or portfolio of medium to large sized buildings. This job is part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to clients, tenants and property managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. What Youll Do Oversee daytoday FM Services, including facility operations and maintenance Meet with clients to discuss facility enhancements, capital expenditures, asset plans, etc. Anticipate short and longterm client needs and develop options for consideration Apply processes, procedures and protocols to diverse client situations Develop monthly reports and comprehensive business plans for the facility, considering performance objectives to meet requirements Monitor and analyse and report on facility results relative to deliverables Develop and implement maintenance and operations goals/objectives consistent with Project Agreement requirements, good industry practices and applicable municipal, provincial and federal legislative requirements Develop appropriate systems/processes to ensure effective/efficient facility operations Participate in developing/implementing minor works and capital budgets; monitor expenditures, variance analysis and reporting; take corrective action as required Manage recruitment, mentoring, coaching and professional development of staff; supervise staff; provide work direction/assignment of duties to meet operational requirements; establish performance plans/individual goals with staff and review performance; identify training/educational requirements as needed Investigate work issues and/or staff performance issues and initiate appropriate disciplinary action Oversee the development/continuous improvement of maintenance programs; apply planning/scheduling techniques and riskmitigation strategies to ensure effective delivery of preventive, predictive and responsive maintenance; ensure appropriate use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Procure/manage work of external service providers directly or through a subordinate supervisor; negotiate/monitor contractual agreements for specialised maintenance, purchased services and renovation work as required Liaise with stakeholders for renovation and/or maintenance projects, and coordinate activities of staff, consultants and contractors to ensure requirements are met and facility impacts are minimised Oversee the development/improvement of policies, procedures and programmes in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and standards; ensure compliance by employees and external service providers; collaborate with and provide technical and logistical support to client What Youll Need 710 years progressive facilities maintenance and operations management experience in a complex, missioncritical environment; LEED certification an asset Additional qualifications such as a skilled trade ticket are an asset Knowledge of facility operations/maintenance an asset; knowledge/understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, building codes/standards/regulations and building systems an asset Advanced level computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems, etc.) Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future Equal Employment Opportunity Statement CBRE is an equal opportunity employer who welcomes and encourages applications from all persons regardless of race, creed, ancestry, national or ethnic origin, colour, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, family status, gender identity or expression, disability or any other status or condition protected by applicable federal, provincial or territorial law.
