Manager, Clinical Operations Interior Health Interior Health is hiring a Permanent Full Time Manager, Clinical Operations for the Community Transitions team and the Community LongTerm Care Access team at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH). This role supports timely discharge planning, reduces hospital length of stay, optimizes shortstay and longterm care bed usage, strengthens linkages with community and homecare services, and ensures effective postdischarge followup. What We Offer Employee & Family Assistance Program Employerpaid training/education opportunities Employerpaid vacation Employerpaid insurance premiums Extended health & dental coverage Municipal Pension Plan Worklife balance Mentoring program for new clinical operations managers Core Responsibilities Provides leadership for clinical practice by identifying best practices and ensuring structures and processes support a bestpractice model of care Evaluates effectiveness of care, responds to patient care issues and public concerns, and facilitates communication to achieve positive outcomes Facilitates and directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of unitspecific goals, standards and policies in alignment with Interior Health objectives Maintains fiscal accountability, monitors budgets, identifies variances, and takes corrective action to keep expenditures within approved limits Participates in local quality improvement and risk management initiatives according to Interior Health standards Analyzes current trends and data in the assigned area to improve accessibility, comprehensiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness of service/care Coordinates utilization of shared resources with other departments or sites as part of the local management team Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to plan and deliver effective and efficient care within the portfolio, supporting operational and strategic objectives Recruits, hires, disciplines, and terminates staff as required; mentors, coaches, performs performance evaluations, and develops staff training and succession plans Administers collective agreements and represents the employer in grievance processes, union/management committees and essential service situations Identifies educational needs of staff, ensures mechanisms support quality patient care, and plans professional development opportunities Maintains a positive and productive work environment, promotes a quality work environment, and acts as a change agent fostering innovation and critical thinking Represents Clinical Operations and assigned clinical areas on internal and external committees as required Maintains health and safety compliance, responds to WSBC requests, identifies hazards, communicates risks, ensures training compliance, conducts incident investigations, and implements corrective actions Performs other related duties as assigned Salary Range Salary range for the position is $116,591 to $167,600. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on qualifications, experience, and an internal equity review.
