Create wow ~Everyone Hero ~ Nourish others ~ Take responsibility About the Role The Senior Supply Chain Specialist is a critical operational role responsible for raw material and packaging procurement, upstream inventory accuracy, and the stabilization and continuous improvement of the inventory cycle across third-party manufacturers and partners. This role combines hands-on execution, analytical depth, and process development to ensure inventory accuracy, supply continuity, and scalable operations in a complex, outsourced manufacturing environment. The Specialist acts as the operational backbone for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging owning day-to-day execution while continuously strengthening tools, controls, and processes to reduce manual complexity and operational risk. What Youll Do Own raw material and packaging ordering for third-party manufacturers Lead raw/pack inventory reconciliation and month-end accuracy, including discrepancy investigation and resolution Own and continuously improve the end-to-end upstream Inventory Cycle, including documentation, controls, and process stabilization Maintain, enhance, and develop core tools, including: MRP and planning model (MIX) Raw material and ingredient inventory evaluation tool (FIX) Manage raw material write-offs, adjustments, and inventory provision mechanics in coordination with Finance Support inbound logistics and customs clearance for raw materials and packaging Partner closely with Supply Planning to ensure material availability aligns with production plans Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or systemize inventory and procurement processes Provide operational support for major transitions or project work (e.g., changes to TPM operating models) Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Plan & Deliver, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and TPM partners What This Role Is A senior, hands-on specialist role with clear ownership and accountability A blend of execution, analytical problem-solving, and process building A key stabilizing force in a complex, outsourced manufacturing and inventory environment What This Role Is Not Not a purely administrative or transactional role Not a finished-goods distribution or 3PL operations role Not a strategic sourcing or contract negotiation role What Youll Need Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, inventory control, or procurement operations Hands-on experience with raw material and packaging procurement Proven experience leading inventory reconciliation, variance investigation, and month-end accuracy Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and large multi-sheet models Experience working with ERP systems (SAP B1 or similar preferred) Demonstrated ability to build, stabilize, and improve processes in manual or evolving environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of operational outcomes Collaborative, pragmatic, and comfortable working across functions Considered an Asset SCMP designation (Supply Chain Management Professional) or active pursuit of the designation Experience in CPG, food manufacturing, or TPM environments Exposure to MRP models or advanced planning tools Experience supporting inventory write-offs, provisions, or working-capital initiatives Familiarity with customs clearance or inbound logistics coordination Ideal Candidate Profile Comfortable operating in complex, evolving environments where structure is still being built Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to take full ownership of outcomes Naturally inclined toward process improvement and systems thinking Able to balance hands-on execution with continuous improvement Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Supply Chain, Product Management, and Administrative Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage and Food and Beverage Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Baby Gourmet Foods by 2x.
