The Clinical Supervisor works as a member of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for providing clinical supervision and team leadership to interdisciplinary regulated team members, supporting the vision, mission and business plan of Recovery Alberta with delivery of recoveryoriented, integrated addiction and mental health services. The role includes assessment, provisional diagnosis, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, clinical consultation, education and referral services for clients and their families as appropriate with addiction and mental health issues. Therapeutic interventions for groups and/or individuals will be provided based on operational need. The incumbent will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to provide a continuum of recoveryoriented services. The Clinical Supervisor will lead a team of Mental Health Therapists and collaborate with community partners and agencies to provide wraparound supports to clients. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Recovery Alberta currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is nonpensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision for a discipline, practice area or service sector supporting clinicians to provide excellence in professional practice and enable quality, patient and familycentered care. Supervise regulated staff requiring supervision to meet regulatory requirements for practice, and/or unregulated staff providing the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. Observe clinical sessions, review clinical documentation and written reports, conduct team case consultations and offer support, and provide guidance and direction to clinical staff with challenging and urgent cases in a timely manner. Work with members of the interdisciplinary team, psychiatrists and community partners in support of effective professional and collaborative practice. Contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of mental health treatment services in a hospital setting or community. Identify and address gaps in clinical practice as well as facilitate addressing of systemlevel gaps and riskmanagement issues. Provide support to leadership in the hiring, orientation and performance evaluation of clinical staff. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for full registration (not provisional) with the applicable regulatory college. A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. Additional Required Qualifications Psychologists must have full or provisional CAP registration; Social Workers must have a practice permit with Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial intervention.
