Roles & Responsibilities Serve as the point of contact for staff during evenings, weekends, and holidays, providing coverage and additional support as needed. Oversee guest interactions across seven Jasper properties, ensuring seamless experiences and high standards of presentation. Supervise evening hotel operations, focusing on front office functions, and provide leadership to staff. Foster a culture of hospitality, assist in training new front desk team members, and provide handson support. Welcome guests warmly, monitor arrivals, and ensure a smooth experience for group and leisure travelers. Handle guest complaints effectively, taking corrective action to resolve issues and enhance satisfaction. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations across shifts and assist with night audit procedures if needed. Ensure team members are knowledgeable about emergency procedures and prepared to respond appropriately. Carry the oncall phone several days per week to provide support in the absence of the Guest Services Manager. Respond to online reviews and guest feedback, addressing concerns and following up in person when necessary. Conduct random room inspections to uphold Pursuits quality standards and assist other teams as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven leadership skills and a passion for coaching and developing employee skills. Strong customer focus providing friendly, professional and efficient service. Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills. Demonstrate high levels of positive energy and a willingness to take on new challenges. Ability to thrive and lead in a fastpaced environment. Attention to detail and good communication and listening skills with local and international guests and staff. Second language skills highly advantageous. Solid knowledge of the products and services. Accuracy and efficiency in handling large amounts of cash ($CAD and $US) and debit/credit transactions under fastpaced and busy conditions. Passion for employee and guest engagement, satisfaction, and safety excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel required). First Aid Training an asset. Physical demands including constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
