Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in cross-border shipping, carrier relations, and logistics coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation solutions. Employer: Rolls Right Industries Ltd. Location: 2441 United Blvd, Coquitlam, B.C. V3K 6A8 Term of Employment: Full time / 2 years contract Salary Range: $35 $37 per hour Monday to Friday. 30 hours per week Benefits: company events, dental care, extended medical insurance, and on-site parking Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year Responsibilities: Plan and schedule domestic and cross-border (Canada/US) shipments via truckload, LTL, and intermodal Book carriers, negotiate rates, and secure equipment (e.g., dry vans, reefers) to meet customer requirements Monitor shipments in real-time, resolving delays or disruptions proactively Build and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and co-loaders to expand Rolls-Rights network Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing updates and resolving logistics issues Quote freight rates and advise customers on optimal shipping solutions Track and report OS&D with carriers and warehouses Use logistics software (e.g., TruckRight, TruckRight 3PL) to track shipments and generate performance reports Identify cost-saving opportunities Required Skills: Completion of a post-secondary education program of less than two years in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination Proven experience in supply chain coordination, preferably within the trucking or 3PL industry Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with carriers, drivers, and customers Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Rolls Right Requirements: Versatile and a team player A problem-solver that works well independently Proven experience in working in a warehouse, preferably in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management Proficiency in using logistics management software and other relevant tools Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of import/export regulations and international shipping procedures is a plus Experience with customs clearance processes and documentation is an advantage #J-18808-Ljbffr
