Youll conduct site inspections, deliver training, and work closely with superintendents and field workers to build and maintain a strong culture of safety. This is a handson role: 50% field work outdoors in varying weather, walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs 50% administrative work onsite documentation, reporting, and safety planning Key Responsibilities Conduct site safety inspections and hazard assessments Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and onsite safety orientations Support modified duties/returntowork programs Recommend and help implement corrective actions Assist with crane lift and fall protection planning Maintain compliance with emergency response planning Lead and document incident investigations in line with WorkSafeBC timelines Develop safe work practices and job procedures Keep accurate safety statistics and assist with COR audits Verify operator certifications and equipment inspection logs Provide coaching to supervisors on safety legislation and company procedures Conduct internal safety training where qualified Attend project and client safety meetings as required Qualifications Preferred: NCSO designation (equivalencies considered) Minimum 2 years of experience in a field safety role, ideally in commercial construction CSTS 2020 certification First Aid certification Application Process We thank all applicants for their interest.
