What We Offer Employee & Family Assistance Program Employer paid training/education opportunities Generous Vacation Entitlement Employer Paid Health Benefits Municipal Pension Plan Shift Premiums Competitive wages About The Job Provides comprehensive and coordinated nursing services related to sexual and reproductive health including but not limited to; sexually transmitted and blood borne infection (STBBI) screening, testing, treatment and contact tracing, contraceptive management, pelvic exams, cervical cancer screening, and HIV pre and post exposure prophylaxis, immunizations and gender affirming care. Applies a health equity, social justice, and social determinants of health lens to all key responsibilities. Ensures clients are supported in navigating the health care system. Provides trauma informed, person centered, gender inclusive, holistic and culturally safe care, honouring Indigenous knowledge, wisdom and diversity. Provides care within a person and family centered care model. The role includes a strong focus on prevention, education, health promotion, assessment, treatment, contact tracing, coordination, support, liaison, and client referral to other health services. The nurse works in partnership with other health care providers and community-based services and agencies, both internal and external to IH, providing clinic-based services as well as outreach-based services. These services may be outside of the nurses home community. This is a Permanent Part Time (0.82) opportunity. Shifts of work will be scheduled days Tuesday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
