Purpose of the Role: Work with the Supply Management Quality group to improve global quality signature and performance for suppliers of concern by reducing the number of supplier escapes and OEM interventions through deployment of various initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs in area of expertise. Contribute to the company objective by reaching expected results. Provide crossfunctional guidance and expertise to various team members. Be seen as a leading expert within the field. Review, understand, and identify issues and contributing factors impacting product quality and flow. Identify corrective actions and improvement opportunities and drive change in a timely fashion. Synthesize and analyze data to understand contributors and systemic issues causing product escapes and OEM interventions. Engage suppliers in defining and deploying required actions and strategies aimed at eliminating escapes and OEM interventions. Steer the team through various phases (data analysis, priority setting, event organization, etc.). Close actions and reach expected results. Follow up and report on progress. Address roadblocks and upscale issues as needed. Organize and lead process walks or other relevant activities at supplier facilities. Drive process maturity (repeatable and stable). Liaise with internal organizations to ensure support is provided as required. Establish required communications with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., CAB, business reviews, EMM). Requirements: Technical degree with minimum 10 years of experience, or Bachelors degree with minimum 5 years of experience. Field of studies: Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace, Quality. Assets: Knowledge of SAP and other information systems. Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA techniques and PPAP. Experience using the Six Sigma approach or other continuous improvement techniques. Language: This position is part of a Frenchspeaking work environment but requires very good English knowledge for reading and writing documentation and communicating with international customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
