Posted Monday, December 15, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. Jealous Fruits is the northern most large scale cherry producer in North America. We grow premium cherries along the shores of Okanagan Lake in the renowned Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Our cherries are all hand packed in our state-of-the-art facility, located right on our farm, and shipped to our customers worldwide. Job Purpose We are currently looking for a Plant Supervisor to join our team. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Plant Supervisor will organize work teams, monitor progress, and ensure quality compliance. Our ideal candidate is supportive, motivated self-starter, people-centered, and flexible to create a positive work environment. Duties and responsibilities Manage employees under his/her supervision ensuring job tasks are successfully completed. Instruct, organize, and coordinate employees during harvest ensuring all guidelines of proper sorting, packaging, stacking, etc. practices are being followed to ensure fruit quality. Ensure the employees are trained and follow the safe work procedures of the company. Collaborate with the Plant Manager to ensure day-to-day operations are successfully completed. Operate plant equipment when additional help is required. Ensure on-site equipment and appliances are properly maintained. Ensure all employees receive on the job training and adhere to company policies and food safety regulations. During the demands of harvest, they will be required to communicate progress to the Plant Manager, ensure fruit is packed in a timely manner, and the quality of packing meets company standards Off season may be required to perform general plant cleaning and maintenance duties as required. Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and have technical and practical competence to meet the daily demands of farming. Possess a sound knowledge of health and safety standards and a commitment to promoting safe farming practices. Ability to work long hours especially during the harvest months of July and August. Farming background and experience in planning and production will be considered an asset. Spanish speakingwill be considered an asset. Class 5 drivers license. Working conditions Our working environment is challenging, yet very rewarding over a short period of time. Applicants should be aware that this is a farming environment and days off may be limited during our growing and packing season.
