This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of wastewater management innovation while working with some of the industry's most talented professionals.You'll lead the delivery of high-quality projects that exceed client expectations while ensuring profitability and championing our safety culture. This hybrid role combines remote work with in-office presence, requiring occasional travel and offering the flexibility to work from any Jacobs office across Canada. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment, driving project excellence, and maintaining our commitment to safety and employee well-being.Youll develop execution plans for projects, including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans; youll negotiate and manage sub-agreements, track, control and report on project performance, ensure of timely invoicing and cash collection, while also providing technical guidance for deliverables and developing, mentoring and empowering the project team. With your experience working under alternative delivery procurement models, you will lead teams through various aspects of a project from planning phase through design, construction and commissioning.With your unflinching focus on our clients satisfaction, youll maintain regular and effective communication with clients. Youll actively support the Business Development Manager and Client Service Managers in developing and expanding opportunities with existing and new clients. Youll have the opportunity to provide input into growth and delivery strategy within the geography.Join our team and apply your knowledge, skills and experience to some of the most challenging and interesting projects and programs in the Canadian water and wastewater field.Here's what you'll needBachelors degree or higher in Civil, Environmental or Chemical EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 monthsAt least 15 years of engineering design and management of municipal wastewater projectsDemonstrated experience managing the technical, contractual and financial risks associated with large/complex wastewater projects, including under alternative delivery modelsSignificant PM experience in multi-disciplinary projects and /or portfolio management or multi-project management, including project planning, scheduling, estimating and budgeting, progress and performance monitoring and reportingProven experience in preliminary design, detailed design and contract administration /construction management on wastewater projectsDemonstrated leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teamsAdept in driving compliance with the contract agreement as well as exercise rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraintsAdvanced understanding of water and wastewater treatment engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to othersExperience delivering engineering projects in the Western Canada is an assetCompletion of formal PM training in an accredited program that aligns with the requirements of Certified Project Management bodies (e.g. PMI) is an assetPosted Salary Range Minimum105,000.00Posted Salary Range Upper183,800.00We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery.
