Our Client, a prestigious, nationally recognized firm, is looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of three (3) years of experience to join their dynamic team. Salary Up to $80,000 (Based on Experience) Key Responsibilities Prepare, edit, format, revise, proofread, and manage all correspondence, memoranda, litigation documents, reports, forms, and other materials from dictation or instructions. Coordinate tasks with Document Specialists, Administrative Clerks, Billing Assistants, and other support teams to ensure timely completion. Proofread for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and correct formatting. Assist with hearings, trials, and related preparations; monitor court dates, filing requirements, and pleadings. Prepare basic court documents and visuals; coordinate service and filing with courts and agencies. Schedule and manage discoveries, expert witnesses, and evidencegathering activities. Maintain strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, procedures, and relevant medical terminology. Open, organize, and maintain large and complex files, ensuring effective retrieval systems for paper and electronic records. Collaborate with Records Management and Administrative Clerks on file creation, storage, and maintenance. Manage key dates, bringforward systems, and lawyer calendars, including deadlines, meetings, and appointments. Coordinate lawyer travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense reports. Maintain and update client contact information. Schedule and prepare client meetings, including room bookings, catering, and audiovisual needs. Review, route, and process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes; arrange specialized courier services. Answer, screen, or direct calls; handle routine client inquiries; take and relay messages. Assist with daily time entry and coordinate with Billing and Finance for new client/matter openings (KYC). Liaise with Office Services, Marketing, and other operational teams as needed. Provide backup support during absences and assist colleagues under high workload or tight deadlines; contribute positively as a collaborative team member. Maintain uptodate job knowledge and technical skills through ongoing training. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant. Indepth knowledge of legal terminology, court rules and procedures. Strong attention to detail and superior word processing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills. Capacity to perform duties with speed and accuracy. Strong time management, organizational and multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure to meet important deadlines. Ability to followup on files and delays with minimal supervision. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Flexibility to occasionally work overtime.
