Job Description

Senior Clinical Fellow General Medicine The West of Scotland Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit, based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing inpatient and outpatient care to adults with cystic fibrosis. The post is fixedterm for 12 months, 40 hours per week on full shifts. Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient care to people with cystic fibrosis within the adult unit. Gain competency in practical respiratory procedures, including pleural procedures and bronchoscopy. Participate in general respiratory outpatient clinics and the general respiratory teaching programme in Glasgow Hospitals. Engage in the units research programme, collaborating with the University of Glasgow, the University of Strathclyde and industry partners on preclinical and clinical trials. Allocate time to research or skill acquisitions that support progression to higher training levels, tailored to the successful candidates career aims. Requirements and Application Conditions Applicants must have completed a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date, or provide a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST) completed by a consultant who has worked with you for at least three months wholetime equivalent within that period.
